Sancerre Rouge


Sancerre is on the left bank of the Loire, in the department of the Cher.

The appellation Sancerre covers 2700 hectares. The vineyard of the Tabordet winery is planted in the communes of Verdigny, Sury-en-Vaux et Sancerre.

Grape variety :Pinot noir 100%.
Pruning :Guyot simple.
Vintage :End of September-beginning of October. Harvesting by machine.
Soil :White argilo-calcareous soils and Caillottes.
Vinification :After 12 to 15 days’ fermentation, the grapes are pressed. Following a period of malolactic fermentation the wine is allowed to mature in a stainless- steel vat to preserve its fragrance. Available for sale from May onwards.
Alcoholic content :12.5 / 13°.
Sugar :< 1 g/l.
Acidity :3 g/l on average.
With food :Ideal with grills, white meats and cheese.
